According to Medipages, depression is a mental health disorder characterised by persistently depressed mood or loss of interest in activities, causing significant impairment in daily life.
Possible causes may be biological, social or psychological, or it may be a symptom of blood sugar instability, a sign of feeling disconnected or even an indication that your Vitamin D levels are low, or all of the above.

- Clean the clutter: In any process of recovery, it is important to clean out the old and make way for the new. Cleaning a draw, sweeping the floor or volunteering can go a long way to soothe your emotions and recharge for recovery.
- Creativity as a cure: sadness is meant to alert you to grieve a loss and also take better care of yourself. – it is not supposed to be a chronic condition says Dr Christiane Northrup. Do you have a creative outlet, do you have awards in the house that you received in the past. Display them and remind yourself of your creativity and accomplishments.
